Clubs & Organizations

There are a few clubs and organizations that are relevant to orienteers who typically participate in TJOC.

National and International Organizations

• International Orienteering Federation (IOF) — Sets the standards that guide orienteering world-wide.
• United States Orienteering Federation (USOF) — Sets the standards that guide orienteering in the United States. USOF is a full member of the IOF.^[1]

"Local" Clubs

These clubs not only provide many local meets every year, but they also help make TJOC happen year after year.

• Ark-La-Tex Orienteering Society (ALTOS) — Dedicated to the promotion of the sport of orienteering in the Ark-La-Tex area.
• Houston Orienteering Club (HOC)
• North Texas Orienteering Association (NTOA) — Dedicated to the support and growth of orienteering in the northeastern part of the Lone Star State.
